July has been another busy month at North Automation Group, with our new unit continuing to take shape, demonstration equipment returning from its travels and a major conveyor system installation taking place at the Simply Thank You site.
Our New Signage Is Up
One of the most visible developments this month has been the installation of the new signage at our unit on Kingsway Trade Park in Gateshead.
The signage has completely transformed the space and made the unit feel like our own. It was installed by our neighbours at Signs Express, and we’re delighted with the finished result.
As work continues inside, the unit is becoming the dedicated base we envisioned for equipment demonstrations, customer visits and content creation. We still have more equipment and finishing touches to add, but it is exciting to see the space progressing each week.

The Toppy Falcon Wings Is Back Home
After spending several weeks travelling to customer sites for demonstrations, our Toppy Falcon Wings Splitter Mobile Pallet Changer has returned to the unit.
Taking the machine directly to customer sites gives businesses the opportunity to see how it performs with their own products and pallets. It also allows our team to understand each application more closely and answer questions based on the customer’s day-to-day operation.
The mobile pallet changer can help businesses:
- Reduce manual pallet handling
- Transfer loads between different pallet types
- Remove damaged or unsuitable pallets
- Support hygiene and production requirements
- Improve the safety and efficiency of pallet changes
It may be back at the unit for now, but it is ready for more demonstrations. Businesses interested in seeing the Falcon Wings in action can arrange either a visit to our demo space or a demonstration at their own site.

Conveyor Installation at Simply Thank You
Our team has been working at Simply Thank You’s own site this month, installing a new conveyor system for the corporate gifting and employee recognition specialist.
The project involves replacing the existing conveyor system and adding a third line to support the movement of gift boxes and packages through the company’s operation.
Ahead of the installation, preparation and assembly work took place at our unit. This allowed our team to complete checks and get the equipment ready before transporting it to Simply Thank You’s facility, where the installation itself took place.
The additional conveyor capacity will help support product flow across the site and Simply Thank You’s busy gift fulfilment processes. It has been great to see the project progress from preparation at our unit to installation at the customer’s own facility, and we look forward to sharing more from the completed system.

Sharing Practical Automation Insights
We have also continued expanding the North Automation Group Knowledge Hub throughout July.
This month’s content has explored practical questions around warehouse automation, including which tasks should, and should not, be automated, the differences between warehouse automation and robotics, and the information conveyor suppliers need before preparing an accurate quotation.
Our aim is to make automation easier to understand and help businesses make informed decisions based on genuine operational needs.
Looking Ahead
As we move into August, our focus will be on:
- Continuing the development of our new unit
- Preparing for further equipment demonstrations
- Progressing current and upcoming customer projects
- Sharing more practical insights and behind-the-scenes updates
July has brought visible progress both at our own facility and at customer sites. With the new signage in place, the Falcon Wings ready for its next outing and the Simply Thank You conveyor system installed on site, there is plenty more to come from North Automation Group.
